Beta 14 - Bug Report: vertical images shown as sqare in edit window

Posting rules: It shouldn't need saying, but... play nice. Please keep your discussions civil. You can disagree, just don't be disagreeable. And, of course, all of the usual stuff like no spamming. Tex adds: I'll be rigorously enforcing this as we go along. We're probably going to be a small community in a little lifeboat, so we can't have members at each others' throats. This is for the sake of the project as a whole. So when you post, pretend you're speaking in person with your very wealthy auntie who has always treated you wonderfully and currently lists you prominently in her will. I won't be tossing anyone out of the forums because we are all in this together (except spammers: immediate membership cancelation), but I'll delete suspect posts right away.

wrong crop tag strikes again?

Try to check your default camera profile, the crop tag. Something similar happened to me with LZ v4.1.0 beta8: http://lightzoneproject.org/lorum/v410-b8-creating-camera-default-crop-xml-node-contains-coordinates. I am sorry, I cannot verify it myself now, because I have instaled Fedora 21 two weeks ago (and this distro is not supported by LZ yet).

The CameraDefaults templates

The CameraDefaults templates are stored in ~/.local/share/LightZone/Templates/ since v4.1.0~beta14. The folder is automatically moved from older ~/LightZone when starting LZ first time after upgrading to the beta14.

Although I'm not sure what happened, I guess some wrong or outdated templates were copied into the new folder. Could you compare the templates in the new folder with upstream ones below?

EDIT: You can just remove older CameraDefaults templates for X-E1 and X20, because those new templates are included in a .jar file in LZ package.

Thanks, will take a look

Thanks, will take a look tomorrow. For XE1 I made my own better profile-> I shared that also here in the forum few days ago :-)

This might help:

Instead of all the crop things in your better profile (including <crop>....</crop> tags) try to put this to replace it :

<Crop Angle="0.0"/>

As it was suggested in a very similar thread, that you can easily find.

yep, written above ;)

Hehe, as I linked in this thread in my comment 3 above. Read more carefully, it saves typing ;)
