Watch this space! And thank you all!

Posting rules: It shouldn't need saying, but... play nice. Please keep your discussions civil. You can disagree, just don't be disagreeable. And, of course, all of the usual stuff like no spamming. Tex adds: I'll be rigorously enforcing this as we go along. We're probably going to be a small community in a little lifeboat, so we can't have members at each others' throats. This is for the sake of the project as a whole. So when you post, pretend you're speaking in person with your very wealthy auntie who has always treated you wonderfully and currently lists you prominently in her will. I won't be tossing anyone out of the forums because we are all in this together (except spammers: immediate membership cancelation), but I'll delete suspect posts right away.

As Doug has announced immediately below, Anton Kast has joined our merry band. And we are more merry for it! For our U.S. members, you now have one more thing to be especially thankful for this Thanksgiving. Please welcome him with your posts.

Let me report that he and I had an excellent phone conversation about LZ, L-Zombie, and our continuing efforts to keep our favorite program alive. I can't at this time fully report on the most important part of our conversation, but I can ask all of you to keep your fingers crossed, rub your lucky amulets, make the appropriate prayerful requests, & etc. Once again it is our hope that we can get LZ into an open-source position for all the obvious reasons.

Therefore, to all our members let me say "thank you" for your support, good wishes, and especially your registrations here. You should know that Anton was especially impressed not just with Doug's amazing efforts, but just as importantly the number of registrants we have. His words: "That's huge!" And to any of you who have been following us but for one reason or another have not yet registered: we need your registrations now more than ever.

Best wishes to you all!

That's encouraging!

Thank You for this information. I am happy to feel at least some hope, that LZ will survive in some way.
If I can help - or even if donations for this purpose are to be considered: I will be happy to support!

Best wishes !!!

Thank you forest bear and sattvakarma

We will need help soon. Shortly we will issue a new call for those with skills. Please let us know what technical skills you may have. Also if you have connections to those with said skills, including academe. At this point money is not an issue. It might be in the future---I'm not ruling that out---but it's not an issue now.

thanks guys ! We will say our prayers.

ALL I know that my LZ was/is my only real 'dark room' engine, without all unneeded bells and whistles, though enough of the right ones, a real photographers tool. Let's pray this will be the momentum that keeps LZ alive and kicking. Thumbs up for you guys! I'm sorry for not having programmers skills. All I can do is to spread The Word.
