Missing libraries in Mac version of 4.1.6

Posting rules: It shouldn't need saying, but... play nice. Please keep your discussions civil. You can disagree, just don't be disagreeable. And, of course, all of the usual stuff like no spamming. Tex adds: I'll be rigorously enforcing this as we go along. We're probably going to be a small community in a little lifeboat, so we can't have members at each others' throats. This is for the sake of the project as a whole. So when you post, pretend you're speaking in person with your very wealthy auntie who has always treated you wonderfully and currently lists you prominently in her will. I won't be tossing anyone out of the forums because we are all in this together (except spammers: immediate membership cancelation), but I'll delete suspect posts right away.

Missing libraries in Mac version of 4.1.6

For the El Capitan build.

I am getting application error and v4.1.6 crashes on startup. Seems like a DCRAW library is not incorporated in the build.

I cannot attach screenshots as the permissions seem to be wrong..

====================================

For the Yosemite build.

I can browse the images but cannot edit any images as the dcraw_lz is not found.

SnowLeopard build is working

SnowLeopard build is working fine :-)

Need a rebuild of the El Capitan and Yosemite versions of 4.1.6 with inclusion of relevant libraries in DCRAW and Java.

El Captain issues confirmed

I can confirm the issue for OSX El Captain, i'm seeing them as well. Somehow, when clicking away the errors, LZ starts and works seemingly normal.

But if you try to edit an

But if you try to edit an image it falls over?
Or does this not happen in your case?

tried again

And now it fails completely, i click away the errors and then LZ crashes. It no longer works (in whatever way).

Could you download "libiomp5

Could you download "libiomp5.dylib" from this link

https://github.com/ktgw0316/LightZone/blob/master/macosx/lib/x86_64/libi...

by clicking "View Raw", then put it in the "/Applications/LightZone.app/Contents/Resources/Java/" folder?

To open the folder using Finder, you need to right-click LightZone icon and select "Show package contents".

I think this will fix the issue, but I want to make sure before I create and release new packages.

Thank you,

Masahiro

Fixed

This addressed the issue for me on El Captian.  Thanks!

Installed fix as suggested.

Installed fix as suggested.

I now get it to load the images but if I click on an image to Edit I get an error message.

Thank you very much for your cooperation. Hmm... it still doesn't work. :(

Could you also execute following two commands in a Terminal and post the outputs here?

  • otool -L /Applications/LightZone.app/Contents/Resources/Java/dcraw_lz
  • file /Applications/LightZone.app/Contents/Resources/Java/libiomp5.dylib

[UPDATE]

I found that the libiomp5.dylib's internal name/id was wrong, and I've just updated the dylib. Would you download it again and check if it works?

The download link to the file

The download link to the file is broken?

I found a 446kb file.

I have applied it and  LZ_El_Capitan v4.1.6  now powers up and goes to Editor.

I then tried to Convert adjusted image but I get and error.  I get option to Save, Exit.  No image file saved.

On OK, this then crashes LZ.

New screenshot in same dropbox location but new sub-directory AfterFix.

OK I just reapplied the fix

OK I just reapplied the fix which Masahiro pointed to.

One important thing I found is that you must NOT do a reset when offered.

The El Capitan v4.1.6 now seems to be working but does not save on Image Convert.

Same as earlier report.

I think we need a revised/new build please.

Any word on the El Capitan build?

My book pro can't be upgraded to Sierra and is now stuck on El Captian. I tried using the Snowleopard download but get crashes when editing. The Sierra build doesn't seem to load any images after scanning a directory. Any suggestion on which/how to use Lighezone on El Captian would be appricated.

Thanks

Mac El Capitan 10.11.6 (15G1611) Download?

Just registered and cannot find Dwnld that applies to El Capitan, so no can install. Wonky for something to be talked about for a year and still no explanation.
