IMPORTANT registration changes

Effective immediately, registrations will not be permitted from Yahoo.com accounts where the email name is more that 12 characters long -- "notthelatest @yahoo.com" is okay, but "notthelatest1 @yahoo.com" won't be accepted. Registrations will not be permitted from mail.ru accounts at all.

Please use a different email address to register. If you don't have one, sharklasers.com will give you a short-term email address with zero fuss. Obviously, we'd prefer a working long-term email address on record, but if something like sharklasers is all you have, it'll do.

Sorry about the outage(s)

Our apologies if you couldn't reach the site again this morning for about three hours. As with yesterday morning's one-hour outage, it wasn't anything to do with us, nor even to do with the spammer flood. It was some kind of technical glitch at our hosting service. Those are only the second and third glitches in almost four years.

I've got my fingers crossed that this time they got everything all fixed up so that we won't have another outage in the near future.

Thanks for hanging in there with us.

We're Getting Hit by Spammers Again

Doug Pardee alerted me last evening that we are once again being assaulted.  There are no worries for you honest members, as this is not a hacking situation.  What it does mean is that we will be deleting suspicious accounts (we will have to do this by hand....) as soon as we see them.  If your account gets deleted by mistake, Please just contact us directly and we will help you.  Thanks.

Historic LightZone Meet-Up: LightZone in Japan!

Greetings LightZone user community, from Kyoto Japan.  Tonight I had the privilege of meeting our lead developer, Masahiro Kitagawa And his lovely wife Aya in Kyoto, where my wife and I are on tour(just ending) with her museum's tour group.  I was able to go along with her, and so was able to meet with Masahiro for the first time.  Read more (and it's worth it!) by clicking through...

Tex Is On The Road Again

I'll be traveling for the next 13 days, September 30-October 12, so please be patient as my internet access will be restricted to the time in the hotels.  This should not be as disruptive as my June trip, however, as I'll never really be off the grid.  And I'll have a surprise for all of you towards the end of the trip....

Request for Help from Viewers

Dear members and viewers,

I received a report from a member (with screenshots) that appear to show that the website has been hacked---but I am not seeing what he is seeing (typical Viagra junk, both in the header and footer).  This member kindly did a security scan as well which also showed the problem, although again, weirdly, when I looked there I did not see the problems he did. So:  Could you please look carefully and let me know if you see anything wrong?  Thanks.

Tex is Back on the Grid

As of this writing, UTC 01:35 June 21, Tex is re-connected to the internet. I'm still traveling, but now I will have at least daily internet access. I'll jump into the forums and begin answering support questions as soon as I'm caught up with emails & etc.
